Notorious murderer Alex Murdaugh has been writing to friends from prison denying that he killed his wife and son despite jury's double conviction.
Murdaugh's friend Chuck Arnold, who has received one of the letters, told The Messenger that Murdaugh admits to financial wrongdoings but still claims he is innocent in the fatal shootings of his wife Maggie Murdaugh and their 22-year-old son Paul in 2021.
The former lawyer from South Carolina's low country is serving two consecutive life sentences after a jury found him guilty of murdering his wife and son in March.
